Dene Kǝdǝ́, Délı̨nę dielect

 

Délı̨nę Got’ine dialect of North Slavey (Dene Kǝdǝ́)

North Slavey is recognized as an official language in the Northwest Territories. This means that it can be used in courts, and in the local legislature. Laws and other documents can be published in North Slavey on request. A program to revitalize Slavey was started by the Universty of Victoria in 2015. It involves bringing together fluent speakers and learners, who learn the language through immersion.
